It feels like my ear hurts but i dont think its an ear infection what else could it be? - could you have an ear infection and not know it

For days, the area around your ear hurts really bad. It hurts me inside, but rather outside my ear and my jaw. I really do not know how to explain, but it hurts when I move the jaw or face a certain way. I had my wisdom teeth yet and it's really the only thing that I think will be that. I'm not sure if I should take a doctor to make sure that nothing that I could resolve to see them. Someone please help me. Thank you!
